Building Resources and Inner Resilience
in Tough Times
We are extremely excited to introduce Karusia Wroblewski to you and to have her introduce you to the beautiful and powerful practice of QiGong! Karusia is one of Emily Bartlett's most loved and respected Master Teachers and we are so honoured to have her joining us this December to share with us her deep wisdom and practices around building resilience and calm - so timely during these challenging times!
Let’s face it, this has been a challenging year, and we are all feeling overwhelmed, to some degree or another. And with winter coming, many of us are worried about further restrictions and sacrifices.
Nature is slowing down, and perhaps it’s time to take a lesson from her. We all need to relax, slough off stress, and recharge our batteries. Wouldn't you love to spend an afternoon focused on just that - a time for your self-care, deeply nourishing your health and well-being?
What is QiGong? Think of it as “Chinese Yoga”. It is an ancient health system that uses simple movements, that are combined with mindful breathing and positive visualization. “Qi” is vitality (think of a spring in your step and a smile on your lips), and “gong” is cultivation. Through QiGong, we learn to build and store energy.
Radiant Lotus QiGong is a special practice designed by a woman named Daisy Lee, for women of all ages and stages of life. RLWQ takes the traditional teachings of Chinese and Tibetan healing movements and sounds, and makes them easy to understand for modern women.
As women, we are natural givers. But we often forget to look after ourselves. RLWQ gives us tools to fill ourselves first. In this way, we can grow into our naturally radiant selves, and serve from overflowing rather than from depletion. It’s time to banish burnout!
The practices can be done by women of all ages and abilities. Many of the practices are done standing, but can easily be modified for a chair.
A session of RLWQ includes shaking, tapping, cupping and self-massage practices. Attention is given to inner and outer alignment, and to gentle breathing. We utilize sound healing to free our voices and move energy. And there are several graceful movement flows, with names like “Showering Qi” and “Phoenix Spreads her Wings”, plus you will experience a “Qi facial”. A session typically finishes with a lovely gratitude practice. You will leave feeling refreshed and renewed.
There are many benefits from RLWQ. Here is a partial list to whet your appetite:
